Simple, Well Executed Production Accessory
Our company purchased the Scorpion Accessory Wing along with two Flashners to mount two Sony wireless mic receivers on our Canon HDV camcorder on the advice of our sales person at Mike's Camera in Boulder, Colorado. This combination really saved the day for our shoot since I needed two receivers mounted on a small camera along with an on-camera LED light. Since there is only one shoe on the XH-A1 I needed an inexpensive solution. The Wing is simple to use and sturdy. The receivers, while mounted on the Wing, are close enough to the XLR inputs without being in the way of other camera controls. There is also enough room for the light as well. And because you can slide the components any where on the wing, you can balance the rig perfectly. Great product! Glad I found the Wing! The price is very reasonable compared to other mounting devices I have researched. We also plan on using it with our Canon DSLRs, making them more like using a camcorder.
